Winding down on a Wednesday in Atlanta

Day in and day out you have to maintain and provide for yourself and your family, but you also have to keep your sanity. I find Wednesdays full of events that soothe the spirit and rejuvenate the mind. This past Wednesday January 20th I found myself in Buckhead, Ga. at Pink Charm Boutique sipping wine and catching up with my dear friend LaLa. She is an ambitious entrepreneur creating her own path in the Black Mecca. Check out her merchandise and stop by for a waxing in the secluded up stairs loft.

Later that evening I found myself at the Blue Bar in Austell, Ga. The atmosphere was vibrant and the comics were lively. The Wine down Wednesdays Comedy Show starts at 8pm and ladies receive a complementary glass of wine. The comedy show is hosted by comedian Fredo Davis and features a line up of various comedians. This week The Blue Bar hosted a birthday celebration for Vegas, the roster consisted of J Renee, Jordan Jackson, Tommy S., Trey Black, Ms. Pat, Nikki Carr, Clipperman and Mario Tory. Laughter is good for the soul. By the time you leave this show, you feel like you have been to a therapy session and things are not as bad as they may seem.

Giving yourself time to relax within the week, gives you a sound mind to finish out the work week strong.
